Second-generation immigrant Indian's identity formation: An intersectional study of pan-ethnicity, gender, and religion

This paper explores the multi-dimensional Asian American identity of immigrant Indians from their interview responses. Pan-ethnic in US as Americans, Mar Thoma Church community for religious identity, and second-generation Patel family’s union formation terms gender will be analyzed to find out reasons behind choice a particular identity. Historical frameworks like movement theoretical theories used interpret Indian Americans. For analyzing data, methodological frameworks, including thematic statistical analysis, used. Results show different identities, professional advantage future directives part hypotheses Americans they merge with cultural assimilation, other cases, retain Asian-ness beyond Americanized sometimes go both American, restate ethnicity. To conclude, remains evenly poised keeps on changing due requirements ever-evolving world.
